Colonial City receives repaired homes and restored façades

The facts
The Tourism Ministry delivered 44 repaired homes in the first Promevi batch in Colonial City, at a cost exceeding RD$71 million. The handover included 60 restored façades and 150 improved through Pinta tu Ciudad, within the historic district revitalization program financed by the IDB and cofinanced by the European Union.
What changes for capital
The work connects heritage preservation, housing and tourism.
The scenarios
If rehabilitation is maintained, it may support residential use and surrounding activity. If maintenance falls short, the initial handover will not demonstrate lasting improvement.
The next signal
Check maintenance and housing use through program documentation; distinguish completed handovers from remaining work.
Verification and limits
Do not confuse the 60 restored façades with the 150 painted ones or claim completion of all 140 planned homes. The scenarios are conditional editorial inferences, not verified facts or forecasts. The cited sources support the facts; the next signal proposes checks still to be made.
