Tourism Minister David Collado reported talks with Fabián Lombardo during FIT to increase Aerolíneas Argentinas flights to Punta Cana: five weekly in December 2026 and seven in January 2027.
Environment authorities reported removing 73 structures at four locations in protected Hoyo Claro, Verón. The ministry describes the structures as illegal. Prosecutors, SENPA, the army and immigration authorities participated; monitoring was announced.

The new policing model was presented October 2 in Higüey, near the Basilica. The announced deployment for seven eastern departments includes 990 trained and equipped officers, 84 quadrants and 39 corridors. The count covers the announced deployment across those seven departments; it does not specify how many officers are assigned to Punta Cana.

Organizers announced RD$8,216,000 raised for Fundación Puntacana, Un Techo para mi País RD and LASO. César Rodríguez and Marcel Olivares won Overall Gross; Manuel Rivas and Gabriel Bobea won Overall Net.
