zkAPI separates payment identity from API access

The facts
Ethereum Foundation’s dAI team and Open Anonymity Project introduced zkAPI. According to its developers, it operates on Ethereum mainnet: deposits create private credits and zero-knowledge proofs authorize API use with temporary keys, without revealing billing identity to the provider. Privacy is limited to the payment link: the provider can still observe the IP address and content and try to correlate sessions.
What changes for capital
The design proposes separating the payer’s identity from access to digital services.
The scenarios
If operation confirms the stated limits, its payment and access utility can be evaluated. If the proxy retains sensitive data or issues arise, absolute anonymity cannot be promised.
The next signal
Review technical documentation, changes and published audits; separate team claims from independent verification.
Verification and limits
The proxy intermediary can see traffic. The described privacy does not imply complete anonymity or an independent audit. The scenarios are conditional editorial inferences, not verified facts or forecasts. The cited sources support the facts; the next signal proposes checks still to be made.
