Sivar brings stablecoin remittances to El Salvador

The facts
Coinbase and Modveon announced US-to-El Salvador remittances through Sivar. The service combines eligible debit-card funding, stablecoin settlement on Base and more than a thousand cash-out locations for verified recipients. The announced US$2 fee covers cross-border processing, not the total cost. Sivar’s fee schedule, effective September 4, 2026, separately lists Puntoxpress cash-out (US$0.25 + 0.50% of the amount withdrawn) and possible funding charges depending on the method used. Official fee schedule · §§3, 5 and 7.
What changes for capital
The offering connects blockchain infrastructure with cash receipt.
The scenarios
If the route works with verified costs and availability, it can be compared with other remittance methods. If withdrawal or service restrictions remain, the announcement will not measure savings or access.
The next signal
Check conditions, fees and withdrawal availability in provider documentation without assuming unmeasured advantages.
Verification and limits
Fees, eligibility and cash-out locations are provider-announced conditions, without an independent audit in this review. The scenarios are conditional editorial inferences, not verified facts or forecasts. The cited sources support the facts; the next signal proposes checks still to be made.
